BsAs ... final thoughts

Today I am leaving BsAs. I miss it already! The city has such a great feel to it. Latin Americans on the whole are such great people really vibrant and friendly.

Top 5 great things about BsAs
1) Tango - fabulous dancers and teachers and, of course, great tango shoes!
2) Cheap food and accomodation (mostly due to the A$1 = $2 pesos exchange rate). Wonderful little cafes, restaurants and bars.
3) Fabulously tasty meat - especially beef and facturas (pastries).
4) A much more even good looking male to good looking female ratio.
5) Really comprehensive bus/public transport system (once you figure it out), and cheap taxis.

Top 5 not so great things
1) Lack of variety in vegetables and non-existence of asian restaurants.
2) Dog poop dotting the sidewalks ... everywhere!
3) Catcalls ... the "mi amor" (my love), "que linda", "que bonita" (what beauty)... etc, by random men on the street were a bit annoying. They seem to think it's highly complementary for some reason (as opposed to be highly egotistical an annoying)
4) Cigarette smoke filled restaurants, cafes, bars and milongas.
5) Actually can't think of a "5". Will ponder upon it and add later if it comes to me. If not, then I guess there's really only 4 bad things about BsAs.
